It may be a case of simply putting out a side of 17 available bodies each week for the remainder of the season, whoever those 17 may be and wherever they may have come from.



However, if they then end up fielding a team of Championship2 standard players, then that is no better than the club failing to fulfill their fixtures. It would effectively be a bye with 2pts for whoever happened to be facing them.



Credit must go to the players who went to Wigan and won last Friday, it would have been easy for them to think "what's the point". It is looking pretty desperate though and really doesn't reflect well on a supposedly modern day professional sport.

Perhaps "Nobby" will go back and help them out till end of season FOC. Or even Royce Simmons, but think Nobby is most likely.

If they don't fulfill all fixtures does that mean all previous fixtures become null and void?

Plus what happens regarding teams with home fixtures yet to be played? That is a fairly significant loss of revenue.



SL will bust a gut to get those games played somehow.



While the redundancies is being seen as the death throes, it could be a case of clearing the decks for new owners. Or calling certain people's bluff. Pretty brutal if that is the case.
