Family sport?



Chumps fighting between themselves during the game, whilst a father shields his daughter....that should be a headline in itself...this was made worse by an idiot swearing at a steward for not intervening with his wife holding him back....

Isn't it time we dropped the claim to be a family game? Should I ever have kids I wouldn't bring my children to hear the foul and abusive language which is screeched by and sundry at the KC and other SL grounds.

You never went to the Boulevard then?

Was 3 rows behind us but seemed to involve 2 people, a scuffle and as the OP said a man shouting abuse at a steward, but from what I saw it was over in less than a minute. Didn't see stewards or police but don't know whether I missed it. This is not condoning it happening BTW, but much alcohol had clearly been consumed and was in the vicinity of a stag party.

Of course I did, and it was just as bad. Not sure what relevance that has to my post though.



My beef is the way the RFL and the clubs try to portray us as the ultimate family sport, when the reality is that it is not imho an appropriate atmosphere for primary school age kids.
