................Salford City Reds can confirm that Jordan Turner will leave the club at the end of the season to join Hull FC at the KC Stadium......

Jordan had been offered an improved three-year deal to stay at The Willows but turned down the deal in order to head to pastures new.
He has represented his country at the highest junior and Academy levels and if he continues to develop at the same rate he has the potential to become a great player. It is now up to the Clubs to put a value on that achievement and potential.
..............As Turner is under the age of 22 the two Clubs must now agree a compensation fee for the talented youngster who was voted the Club’s Academy Player of the Year (2006) and Young Player of the Year (2007). He also captained England at U18 level before making his Reds’ Super League debut in 2006.............

Didnt realise there would be a fee involved. I'm extremely pleased with this signing, if chosen to compete for the centres, it could be the first gifted ball handling centre we've had in sometime.

Thought he was OOC though, so don't understand why there's a fee. Isn't it the same situation as Hodgson to Rovers, ie both OOC and under 22?  |
