I don't usually blame a referee unless the facts can be seen by ALL !

Tonight's referee was reasonable while players played rugby & not taking cheap shots.

Indeed he was very naive, he did use the rules but he had no idea about Catalans tactics to draw wakefield off

Their game.

Catalan went into previous mode of the French mentality & cry wolf at every event & issue with full petulant

Reasoning, which he fell for - by not understanding their behaviour, thus the game degenerated as an event

Of good rugby.

So Catalan were back to their previous poor quality, imo I have no enjoyment watching them the game goes into

disrepute ! Simply terrible to watch.

When will officials realize Catalans tactics when all is not going for them?

However no excuses for wakefield getting drawn in to their poor form of rugby league.

They definitely came for aggro tonight. And the ref was a wimp. He could not control the situation at the end, then he waves 2 red cards out of nowhere as if to say 'I'm boss'. Pathetic. Should be suspended himself

thing is we lack a player with some grunt and that without the gn instead put a c there.

Miller ran in and threw a punch. Whether he deserved it ot not that was as naive as you think the ref is.

I’d say we have in Fifita but sadly he wasn’t available.

Yeah, I've heard others say this in the past and think Fifita is exactly that kind of player, he certainly takes no crap. Problem wanting players with 'grunt' is they're usually a liability and can cost you games. It's also not as if for example Pauli or Tupou don't play with plenty of power and grunt but it's the controlled kind.

Agree whole heartedly about Catalan tactics, very poor! We played them earlier in the year in the cup and they wrapped Hewer round their little fingers. Every trick in the book - wingers going down with "mysterious" injuries after running the ball back after a last tackle kick to allow their forwards a breather. Greg Bird's play acting annoys the hell out of me!

Speaking of whom, really had a laugh with the group of Aussies who came to the game just to give Greg Bird some stick. They certainly seemed to rile him.
