| So the fixtures are out on Sunday 19th? And the RFL has asked to wait until Friday 17th to publish some kind of response to the issues raised by the Cougars. How utterly transparent is that! They clearly want to wait until the very last possible moment before they give their response in order to make it a done deal, thereby also giving us no time to do anything other than accept a future in Championship 1. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if they were to release some kind of garbage statement at about 4.55pm, five minutes before they all shuffle off home for the weekend. The RFL is truly lower than a snake's belly.

| Yes the date of 17th October seems deliberate as you say CDC. Once the fixtures are released clubs will put effort into organising other things, u21 games, events, hire of facilities etc. Before you know it it will be too difficult to change everything and potentially costly, thus not being bothered about an impending EGM.
The only challenge likely now is a court challenge, presumably the reason Gary Fawcett has declined the initial RFL meeting is that reason, not to affect any potential legal case. Not only that but the supposed meeting would no doubt be a brush off tactic.

| I will not be going to a single away game this season.
The outcome of this is farcical.

It depends what Keighley do next, the rfl are certainly laying their cards on the table ( with a bent pack).
I am not an expert, but I believe Keighley still have legal options that would stop the RFL in their tracks and put a hold on the fixture list. It depends on how good our case is and how determined we are.

I'm not sure if I'll go to all away games but I find that attitude a bit difficult to understand. I'll be interested to find out what these new clubs are like and talk to their fans.
On the one hand it's a chance for RL to grow outside the heartlands (and that can only be good). On the other, we need to give the team all the support we can to gain promotion.
We have a new system that promises some exiting Rl and I for one am looking forward to it.

| Forget the new and exciting stuff. Teams have broken rules/cheated and got away with it.
Teams have suffered because of this.
Yet the people in charge are happy to allow it to happen.
Really not sure i want to follow a sport that is run this way.

| Sadly many teams "got away with it" but secured enough points to make the cut. Ultimatly this is why Whitehaven, Batley, Workington etc
Hopefully Keighley will be back bigger and stronger and the Bulls will be in the Championship for sometime IMO.
Good luck next season

Batley got away with going down because of it. Playing a player (that was not allowed on that pitch) that scored a winning try is complete and utter bonkers. Add the Batley bragging fans into that and the whole thing has been a complete disaster for rugby league.
Poor decision from the RFL who even refuse to speak to me as they are better people and should not have to discuss matters with a normal person like me.
