| Two players who have been criticised in the past for 'lack of commitment'.
[urlhttp://www.wigantoday.net/warriors/Maguire39s-praise-for-players.5962876.jp[/url
Quote Fortunately the players have all managed to get to training.
Many schools and businesses were closed as heavy snow clogged up the area's roads.
But it was business as usual for Maguire's troops, who braved the log-jammed traffic.
The Australian said: "Fortunately the players have all managed to get to training.
"It's taken everyone longer to get here, and for the players who travel from Yorkshire (Stuart Fielden and Karl Pryce), it took them four of five hours to get here, which was a very good effort."'"
Good to hear.
Next season I'm really looking forward to seeing how Stuart Fielden performs. I think that he may have been one of the players MaGuire was referring to when he said some players need to 'bulk up'. So with that in mind, we now have Paul Deacon leading us around the park who I hope will have a good knowledge of Fielden's game and can get him hitting the gaps that he used to. That along with Shaun Wane's ability to motivate players makes me very excited for the forecoming season.

| I don’t think it’s fair to mention Fielden when we talk about a lack of commitment. A lack of consistent performance you could agree with but imo Fielden has always tried his hardest and some times he’s even over tried and you can see the frustration in the guy as well.
I really hope Stuart can make an improvement next season. There are a lot of changes going on at Wigan and with Stuart being one of the most professional athletes out there I’m hoping this time the effort he puts in is matched with excellent results.

| I've been hearing very good things about Karl's attitude during pre-season training. It's a real shame if he has suffered a serious shoulder injury - anyone know the extent of it?

Good. I don't want him to have any excuses this coming season. New regime and a full pre-season under his belt - it's put up or shut up time for Pryce. Fingers crossed we see the Bradford version of a few years ago.

I was told by a first team regular 'it looks like Pryce has disloacated his shoulder' so if he hadnt dislocated it he must be having some sort of problems with it. Hopefully just a scare but doesnt fill you with much confidence when it comes to his long term fitness.

Going back and having a look at the other thread it seems Pryce was working on the cycles so actually might have some kind of problem with his shoulder - but doubt you could work on a cycle with a dislocated shoulder?????

With luck it's only a Chinese whisper. He may have had a bang or a strain, and the story's been unintentionally embellished.

| Someone said he did dislocate it but it went straight back in. Not sure how long that would need nursing but I'm assuming it isn't as serious as it would have been had it needed to be put back in. Maybe Jonh or someone would have better information, this being the case....

| Let's hope it really is only a chinese whisper. That many injuries to player must have psychological effect on his mentality, perhaps not wanting to go into tackles as hard as possible to avoid another injury may be one. Karl's sluggish behavior again maybe due to his mentality rather than actual physical fitness.

In Lethal Weapon, Mel Gibson kept dislocating his shoulder and then putting it back in place. He carried on Policing so I assume Pryce will be fine to continue training.
