After the game someone I know suggested that we should have played Flanagan at centre instead of exposing Ainscough on the wing. Now I'm not saying we should have done that but it got me thinking.



There is near enough no chance that Mark will be able to make his name as a loose forward or stand off for us so why not try to develop him into a centre and a ready made replacement for George Carmont. He has all the attributes, strong in defence, a good pair of hands and decent pace. He would need to be given game time at centre in the reserves and gradually introduced at centre in super league.



I'm not entirely sure whether this would work but surely its worth a go ey?

Wouldn't we be better developing Thornley who is a , rather than tringg to make a back row forward into one?

Why dont we tell pryce to pull his fecking fat finger out and play him centre?

nothing lost the lad deserves a chance.we don't have much chance in the league now so nothing to loose lets see how good he is.

Why not bring them both through with Flanagan replacing Carmont and Thornley replacing Gleeson or vice versa?

I'm all for that but its simply not going to happen. The lad is obviously a talented player and it would be a great shame to let him go without even letting him have an oppurtunity.

The lad has been waiting for a chance for ages now and by all accounts is doing very well in the reserves.



I've never heard it being mentioned that he's a possibility at centre but then i don't know that much about him.



I'd have him on the bench on Friday simply as an interchange backrower.

It was just an idea someone I know had, don't know if its been talked about within the club.



The point I'm trying to make is no matter how much he deserves a chance in the back row can anybody see it happening? No is the answer, so why not try to mould him into a position that we will be changing in the near future instead of letting a potentially top player leave

With the competion level, being so high for Second Row position. Of course the 6/7and9 are covered with New Guy/Tommy/Tomkins/Macca and Riddell for a few years, Loose Forward, O'Loughlin is a pure machine at the minute, so give it a few seasons we'll be looking at players for that centre position, and a young talented GB fella like Flanagan, would be great to see.

Don't think its a good idea imo. He is a 13/6. Lets not go down the route of playing players in totally the wrong positions just go get them in the team.



A more sensible suggestion would be to bring him in now at either 6/13. Tommy to 9. Tomkins to 7.
