Really really think that we can beat anyone on our day. I think Wigan and wire still have a better shout at winning things but we can beat them on our day.

I feel that the last three seasons we would have potentially wobbled after any of our losses especially the Bradford and Salford games but we keep getting back up!



Testiment to Anderson he is creating something special with our players his man management must be second to none. A lot of strong personalitys in our squad and he has got them like a family!



Let the doubters say what they may our lads have put themselves in a great position to proving them all wrong!

cant really blame people for bringing it up though.

its not some made up story,it has happened the last 2/3 years.

I actually consider it a massive compliment that people talk of us as chokers and bottlers etc, saints and leeds were always known as the bridesmaids when I was growing up, so if people are putting us in that bracket then good!



we haven't been contenders for the top prizes for nigh on 50 years, and I would say we have a good team right now who are possibly capable of challenging for those prizes but we are nowhere near ready to be considered one of the top teams that are expected to fight out the silverware battles.



I also remember where we have come from in the last 25 years, to think, running batley,dewsbury,hunslet,bramley etc close was seen as an achievement not so long ago. I would love us to pick up some silverware so I can say all those years or misery were worth it, but im not gonna strop and spit my dummy out if we don't , im just enjoying life as a fartown fan right now.

Indeed, for those that can remember how crap we used to be, struggling to put 30 odd past a Bill Platt inspired Runcorn!! We are in a really good place. So close to the holy grail as it were over the past few seasons, it will come I'm sure. The momentum is there, and this season I feel the will is. If it doesn't happen this, then next I'm pretty sure it will.



I have to agree though with his comments, it pi$$es me right off too, its like a broken record, so called journalists and experts slipping into formulaic responses, can they not see this season is different!! Makes me laugh, each season no one has tipped us to do much and each season we prove people wrong, but they still have the ' they will fall away' caveat. Well we should shove it right under their nose this time round!

It matters nothing what the media say they are after a story, and that sells papers/mags etc.



There's a few of the journo's and media who are starting to come around to the fact we may just be in and around the trophies in the second half of the season.



Those same people were sceptical of us maintaining our form, but we're starting to but those doubts to rest.



This stage of the season last year it really did start to come off the rails, and to a lesser extent the year before.



We've just beaten Leeds in a must win game, one that Leeds traditionally rise for - not this time!



Keep plugging away at what we're doing and keep collecting the 2 points let the journo's think what they want, they don't win you anything the team do that.

To be honest some of our own fans are the same after every defeat....." here we go, the slump has started", "going sameway as we did inder Brown", " new coach same old story" blah blah blah so we cant really complain that the media pick up on this.



I'm just glad we aren't whipping boys anymore as those days were pretty poor.

Some of our fans are like that after a win.

Indeed the amount of tosh you hear from some fans, there were a few near me constantly whinging at the Widnes game, you'd thought we were getting mullered and we were 30-6 up!

Crazy ain't it! And a lot of the time its the older end who have been through the real hard times following this team! You would have thought they would be overly optimistic rather than looking on.the bad side!

Having only fillers the side 5 years things have only got better being a giants fan. But I have read the history, listened to the storys and have to say that the level this club has got to in a relative short period of time is fantastic and those that supported the side in the dark days should just be enjoying what the team are doing.

We will lose games and have sub par performances but this is sport! Has to be said we are having a more good than bad days in recent years!

That said, having been a Huddersfield fan for so long it's built into my DNA now to expect the to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory lol



I've seen us get to a stage so many times when we could get a famous win only to go missing or self destruct so until we actually win something that doubt will be always there



Doesn't stop me supporting them and hoping that maybe this season we might go the distance.



To me this weekends game is as big as the cup game v Leeds, if we lose it will be a feeding frenzy for the doubters. Wining won't silence them, but it might make them look a little foolish

We lose this game then the doubters come out we win well the doubters always have next week.

Jesus if we win both finals the doubters will say well we can't do that next season!

IMO this year is our year! I honestly think we have it in us to go and win the trophy and hopefully a trip to old Trafford! Not quite sure on the challenge cup cause its wire away, I'll still think we can go there and get the result we need!
