Well done, East. However, the important point, which I have tried to make in the programme, is that TWO TEAMS FROM LEIGH contested that final. If you must know, Wayne provided me with an excellent photo of East, but I'd refused to do the article, until I could strike a balance, with a photo of Miners. Thanfully, 'asterix' came to the rescue, and now we have a BALANCED report!!

And you wonder why the kids get wound up when playing each other...its the parents that get the kids going.



Its the parents that put their 'hatred' feelings onto their kids and make playing against each other bigger / more important than any game they play.



I don't like Wigan, but I don't make my children think the same way, it's their choice.

Its not jealousy. Its avarice. Wanting what someone else has. Its not a bad thing in team sport, its makes teams hungry for success. The parent thing is true to some extent but I think both clubs draw certain lines when rivalry get to much. Well bloody done to the both of them. I used to be a Miners player but would be very pleased for either to win anything.

It really proves how much talent their is in Leigh and how the professional club haven't tapped into it in the past.



We're paying for the mistakes of the past which to his credit NK has tried to put right..... although I feel that is partly down to his budget for better known players.
