They should be able to open the bollards through the estate at the opposite side of the ground after the match to let cars out then people on those car parks can be ushered to that exit thus easing the congestion.

That would work, but I think it was probably a condition of building the stadium that there would be no access to the estate on match days. I have to say that it would be a minimal disruption for residents lasting a few minutes at worst.

1 A car park is NOT a road nor is its access.



2. A condition of the LSV was that there be an EMERGENCY exit other than onto the By-Pass and that if it did exit onto the Etherstone St estate it be for EMERGENCY traffic or PUBLIC transport ONLY.

We could always declare an emergency at the end of every match. As I said, another exit on the bypass is the only way or put traffic lights on the 'junction' near the exit. The other difference I noted last night was the much larger number of cars on the 'spare' ground immediately to the right of the entrance.



I think this, again, is because they were not directed away from it by the stewards. This caused three-way traffic flow near the exit and created the dangerous situation.

Whatever is the problem the whole town will need to have a good think of how they are going to get upto 10,000 fans away quickly and safely in June. Personally I always clap the boys off, go to the loo and by the time have got to my car the mad rush has subsided

I have no issues at all leaving LSV, I go for a post match drink and debate in East and then I have my barge moored under the bridge, happily sail back to Butts Basin

and then stroll home.

We stayed to clap the lads off as usual and when we got outside the traffic was terrible,like as been said they are there to direct onto carparks so what is the difference?am i missing something here,the head of stewarding should issue a statement explaining why sometimes stewards are not around after games ,accident waiting to happen springs to mind.

The stewards were 'around' they were all stood on the gravel between the stadium and the road, facing towards the stadium, Why?
