Heard from a good source that he won't be playing for us next season.It appears that the operations he requires will take up half of the season to recover from and after that he will be "shipped out" to another club to regain his fitness - I guess a Championship side.This means he is not on the payroll and so does not count in the salary cap.

I hadn't heard the reasons, but I had also heard from a very good source that he is being de-registered.

Shame. Hope he'll be back when he's back to full fitness. He's been a great servant for us, at his worst he's been solid. We aren't messing around it seems for next year. Made some hard decisions with Grix and Monaghan etc.

He's been a good'un for us. The search for a prop goes on.

Another prop down if true, don't understand why we'd let England go if so.

Perhaps the club have known what was coming and have decided to use salaries of Harrison and England to up the level of prop we go for plus promote from the younger boys. Its very intriguing this prop search. Same for Harrison though.

If it means we get back the Harrison of old in 2017 I'm all for it. This should free enough cap space for a top drawer prop. Props of Hill, Sims, Dodds plus one quality addition, with Westwood as backup is good enough for me. We'd still have Evans, King, Philbin etc to come in if a few injuries strike.



Hopefully there is enough quality out there available to bring in, all seems to have gone a bit quiet...

We do seem to be squeezing every drop out of the cap. It makes sense to try and avoid using cap space on players that are going to be out for big parts of the season / take a long period to get back to their best.



I think there's a balance though between being clever with the finances and being unfair to some long standing loyal players if it is not handled in the right way.

I think we are looking after them. Harrison can still be paid if deregistered from the cap, as long as doesn't play for us. He's obviously had some issues for a year or two, so is probably looking forward to sorting them out. Ditto with Grix, we've given him a job while he recovers, if he does get back to fitness, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest to see him back at the club.

I think the club will still look after players like Harrison , but they do seem to be freeing up salary money , hopefully the attitude has changed slightly and hopefully soon we should see an announcement on a quality prop ??? Who would you go for now?
