Why did the tannoy announce Wigan got beat today? Just checked results and they won, tannoy at the game said full time score was 36- 26? Did anyone else hear it?

I'm pretty sure he said Hull KR were beating Wigan, not had beaten.

My father-in-law said they announced it as the final score. Which was silly, as they still had another 3 mins to play.

Announcement was: "full time result from Craven Cottage". Bizarre

Really? - i'd been checking the score on my phone and at that point it was different to the one announced over the tannoy so ignored it.

I heard the announcement & i must admit i drove home with nasty thoughts in my head of a massive dummy being found in the Wigan dug out only to find out otherwise.

I didn't hear the announcement but have been told they announced it as the final score. Bit weird really.

He did say beaten - he said final score. I had the game on the radio and mentioned to a few around me that he was talking crap.

I think it was probably Lefty or his mate trying to justify his conspiracy theory then being made to look ridiculous (nothing new there though)

i took no notice as knew it was late and was a good 5+mins left as ht wasnt till gone 3 50.

Must admit I did think it said "full time approaching from Craven Park, Hull KR beating Wigan........." because just as it came up, somebody said to me....."Not anymore, Wigan have equalised". Then again, with the tannoy at the HJ, half the time its guesswork what is being annouced anyway.
