| Well been a good start to the season even though I don't think we have played that well in any game yet. So league position given the way we have played is a bonus, back to last nights game form of Hill who when he came on with Grix changed our game. Have got to say also Ratchford considering he has played in a number of positions had a big game and when he went off we lost something.
So maybe the only positives from last nights gave were Hill and Ratchford a number of players chose last night to have poor games. Carvell on his own admission on twitter had one of his worst games for the club.
But lets not get to down given how we have played this season league position is brilliant. Better weather coming harder pitches suit us better. And lets not forget Saints also lost they must be tearing there hair out.

| Only 3 positives from last nights game;
Morley
Hill
Riley
The rest of them were either complete garbage or under par.
I have no doubts though that if we had Monaghan, Harrison, Hodgson, Solomona and Bridge in last nights team we would have won fairly comfortably. We didnt though and we lost basically due to alot of the players having a mare not to mention a very understrength team.
Lets hope we are at near full strength for Wigan and Saints in a few weeks.

| The biggest positive last night was Richie Myler's performance.......pushes him closer to the exit.
big mistake sending Gaz o Brien to Widnes. Sent the wrong 1.

So you want rid of someone who cost us a lot of money, has a great talent, and is still relatively young

| we missed Monaghan we missed Hodgeson we missed solomona we missed Bridge ! all that said Leeds were virtually at full strength ! so the positive is we have a lot more to add ! they have nothing as all their key game changing players were on the pitch and we made them look better than what they are !

Jesus i've heard some knee jerk reactions on here but that is premier league..!
Anyway positives.
1)We looked like getting over the line whenever we were in decent attacking positions.
2)Hill
3)Morley
4)Only 6 games played

Saddened??? Is that you? Have you finally started supporting the Wire?
Anywho, positives:
1) Ratchford is good
2) Hill is amazing and is on track to being one of the best
3) We always looked like scoring when it mattered and crossed the line a few times
4) We were humbled (no one wins anything without being humbled)

| I thought Wire were pretty good last night and to say the game could have gone either way considering you were missing guys like Hodgson, Bridge, Monaghan and Harrison and lost your biggest threat on the night in Ratchford is pretty positive imo.
It looks obvious already that Wire, Leeds and Wigan will form 3 of the top 4 at the end of the year alongside one from Huddersfield or Catalans.

Not a knee-jerk reaction at all. I said at the time, he was over-rated and vastly over-priced, and the only person laughing about it was Martin Offiah. Ask any Salford fan and they'll tell you we bought the wrong player from them at the time, it was Stefan Ratchford who carried that team. And whilst he was at Widnes, he stood out in a pee-poor team. If he was a winger, I could understand his ( lack of ) work rate, but not as a halfback. No wonder Briers always looks knackered, he's carried Myler for more than a season.

| Okay Myler didn't have a great game ... a week earlier he was a strong contender for MOM. He'll play a big part in our successful future. Get off his back!

| Plenty of positives last night.
Our defensive structures are very sound, we gave Leeds a tonne of ball and still nearly came away with the spoils. We ended up with two backrowers at centre & wing so of course our attack wasn't going to be cutting edge stuff but we've plenty of strike coming back in that respect with Bridge, Ratchford, Hodgson, Monas, even Solomona.
The 'younger' players are all standing up, Riley, Hill, Cooper, McCarthy etc. It's some of the established players that need to click a gear, currently Carvell and P.Wood are undeserving of their places. I'll throw Joel Monaghan in too, I'm not really seeing a test back in him, I just don't think he carries enough threat to me. He wouldn't fear me, apart from maybe 10 out.
Not so much for the dropped ball, but I reckon that's our best performance this season, we were better last night than when we beat Huddersfield, we just played a good team, they we're 8 points better than us, take away Myler's brainfart they were a gaol better. I reckon with the playing ranks back at full strength we've an extra try or two in us so I wouldn't be too concerned.
I really don't think we need to panic. Tighten up 10% with the ball, get one or two bodies back on the field, not that the ones there are poor, just that the ones coming back you that extra something. The people we're missing are the ones that seperate good teams from great teams, who have the special plays in them, without them we're a good team, no more.
Last night's performance would have beaten anyone else in SL, it nearly was good enough for Leeds. Throw in that we conspired against ourselves, no panic.
