| Great display from Williams last night I thought. Has his selection and performance now moved him ahead of Riley? Also with king coming back, we could see him playing outside of Atkins. But just looking at the 4 wingers, is the pecking order now
Monaghan
Evans
Williams
Riley
?
Left wing is probably the most contested position in our team at the moment.
It would appear Riley has a very difficult job getting his place back.

| Interesting. I can't make it to the games at the moment so I can't really offer a qualified opinion, apart from the Sky matches. I watched the Saints match last night and listened to Radio Warrington on line and apparently the backline went well, especially Ryan Atkins. It would seem that Riley is on the outside at the moment, but I'm sure it was said on Radio Wartrington last night that Matt King's comeback had been delayed for a couple of weeks as the injury wasn't fully healed.

| you have to ask the question, whats going on there with riles, in the pre season talks about best line up on here there was some contention over playing king or riley on the wing, which you can see the argument for, but being top try scorer last year and now being passed over for 2 reserve wingers????

| Currently my pecking order of Wingers is......
1st on the team sheet Monas
2nd King
3rd Williams
4th Riley
5th Evans
Obviously this will change during the season depending on form but within 18 months Rhys Evans will move very very swiftly up that order.

| If it was me in charge, my pecking order of Wingers is......
1st ALWAYS put Monas first!
2nd Williams
3rd King
4th Evans
5th Riley
Although I think belly has the right shout for what TS is thinking (maybe swap bottom 2)
The reason why me and TS would put Riley so low, I would assume, is because of his defensive frailties (1) and because of his over running his centre (2); both really big mistakes. He can play wonderful at times but I have always been worried of those two reasons with him. I am not saying he only had walk ins last year.

Somebody got ridiculed on here for asking about coach day trips to Perpignan. I suggest that putting Williams ahead of King is even more idiotic.

Don't see why. I'm sure he's a very good value for money squad player to have. He has never been a starting 13 player for me so I don't see what has changed.
Plus he isn't out of contract.

| I think its fantastic that there is so much competition for those wing spots, it can only be a good thing for the future.
You just hope that the younger lads remain sensible and don't lose patience if they go 3 or 4 games without getting a game.
Certainly, Riley's slip from regular to almost outsider is an interesting one, but, again, it says more about the rise of our younger players then any negatives to Riley's own game....I'm pretty sure that Riley will re-emerge at some point and do a fine job.
Also, without dragging up the whole Penny thing again, its quite telling that Smith released Penny without seemingly much of a second thought, even though he is obviously happy giving unproven lads a go in the team....It would seem that Penny never really registered with TS as much of a player?

But TS called Kev Penny up for the train on squad back in 07 or was it 06 so he must have seen something
