No chance it will be a replay, two of the best at drop goals in SL on both sides.

I know that they had the Reebok pencilled in as a replay venue for last year, which was a bad enough provision, but at least then there were 3 weeks until the play-offs after Wembley.



This year, there is just one league fixture remaining before the play-offs and to ask Wires and Leeds to go again in a cup final replay less than 3 days before our crucial first play-off game versus a nicely rested up Saints is utter lunacy. I know this is a sweeping statement, but I honestly can't think of a more nonsensical and barmy RFL decision in the long history of nonsensical and barmy RFL decisions.



Why the hell can't there just be golden point extra time on the day until we have a winner if needs be? A close game between two evenly-matched sides could well end up all square and that could be a disaster for our season.



I really am staggered by this news - it's just unbeliveable.

Ridiculous. Neither ourselves nor Leeds would want a reply two days before the play offs start. No one would want to leave Wembley without seeing the Cup lifted so for there to be anything other than extra time is completely needless.



7.15 is a stupid kick off time for a midweek match too.

Nightmare getting to Sheffield from Warrington over the Pennines that time of the evening, all this is about making money the RFL aren't satisfied with a full house at Wembley for the first time in years. Can you imagine the anti-climax of a draw, not that I think it will come to that.

There have been 3 CC finals that have ended in draws. Ever, i.e. since 1897.



Mind you, one involved Warrington, and one involved Leeds...

What did u expect? These are the same ppl that appointed McNamarra as England Coach.

Seems stupid how a draw results in extra time in every other round except the final. It couldpotentially ruin both Wire and Leeds season, and work out great for Wigan and Saints. Stupid decision by the rfl (again), the CC final is already too close to the play offs. Exactly how many would attend the replay??? It could turn out to be a disaster.



What entertainment a golden point extra time at a packed wembley would be

We're been doing it since 1897 so why change. Its one of the few long running traditions the RFL keep going so I'm all for it. On top of that, you cant fairly settle the cup on potentially one set of six.



Team A kicks off, team b play out four tackles until 40m line, team b scrum half kicks drop goal. Fair? No!
