I think 7 commentators is a bit of overkill!



Dick and Dom at each end of the pitch are pointless in my view. Then you they crowbar the two studio pundits in as "guest summarisers" as well.



So come half time we've already heard their opinion rather than getting a different opinion.



Eddie, Stevo and Clarkey and thats enough for me.

Espeicially considering 4 of them aren't 'English'

Having Barry Mc on the pitch after each try is rather annoying, pointless and embarrasing!!



It was the same for the Grand Final.

They really need to seperate the commentary team from the studio. I know Sky have always done it that way but they only used to have Eddie & Stevo. Now they've so many pundits it's not necessary.

I don't see why they insist on using the chuckle brothers as 'expert' commentators. Neither of them know anything about the game from a technical aspect. Some of Barry Mc's pieces were absolutely embarassing.



Phil Clarke as ever chirped up with some stupid phrases, such as his statement that whoever passes the ball the most accurately will win the tournament. Bizarre.

and the one about . "the winners will have world class wingers", if they arent world class they sholdnt be on the field on winning or losing team

For me the whole presentation just feels like some Southern executive at Sky taking the pi $$ out of the grubby Northerns by throwing as many cliched accents at us.



They should have a professional lead man when the show comes on who deals with the pre game. Then like the football they should have a proper commentator and a knowledgeable second man who chimes in with pieces about what has happened and why etc. If they need an on field commentator it should be the guy who does it at the moment, but only from the side of the field with no shots of him.

their comments might be welcome, but showing them was a tad poor

Turry O'Connor was the second one. All the needed was a whippet on a lead and a vista of rundown terraced houses and it would be complete.
