I think he'd be a great replacement for Mr Anonymous. He's turned Leigh around remarkably and IMO he'd take us to trophies.

Saddened! You are such a stirer!!
Would love Basil back tbh, although that doesn't seem to be the popular view given his approach to defence in the past. But it would be great to have him at our new stadium, reminding us of how good rugby league could be to watch!

In the 2 seasons before he was sacked we finished 4th then 5th. Can you imagine the Potter haters if he led us to two seasons outside the top 3?

Well in his last 2 years we finished outside the top 3 and handed in performances like losing 54-8 to Bradford, 41-22 to Wakefield, 34-6 to Hull, 70-0 to Leeds, 64-24 to Bradford, 30-6 to Hull, 42-18 to Hull, 28-4 to Wigan, and Wigan dumped us out of the play-offs twice.
Really enjoyable stuff.

Don't forget we also had a much better squad back then too. With ours currently being filled with kids who will never make it in the positions they are playing in, no marks, not good enoughs, Wellens and Cunningham.

Yup, and don't forget him screwing Tommy God out of a testimonial year, losing to Wigan a lot and thinking that you can get away with the likes of Barry Ward and Rickey Bibey in your front row.

| Basil was great for us when he come from leigh and had us playing great attackling rugby. He gave the players great confidence and the us against them attitude which was great but also brought a lot of $hit along with all the cups.
Anderson is a real coach and turned saints in to a better team in a matter of months, im not sure who i would like to have between potter and basil but i think potter is doing ok with the smallest and weakest squad saints have had in super league era. I would like to see what potter could do if he could bring in some new faces next year.
All in all i think potter doing ok with whats available but i would love anderson back.

| Ian Millward was great for Saints in his first couple of years but then i think his ego took over, Daniel Anderson was just fantastic for us.

So would I. I'm only being sentimental about Millward because I remember some great attacking rugby when he was in charge. But Anderson beats him because we became a more complete team under him, and some of our passing was razor sharp and at the speed of a bullet. Plus, I did think he looked cool in his shades.
