I'm a wigan fan but enjoyed watching a great game last night.
Was just wondering when meli went in for that last try, why did he tell the ref to go to the screen? Is he [ithat[/i honest? Or was the ref not going to give the try??? Any ideas?

IMO He knew he was offside and thought Silverwood wouldn't have given it so he asked for him to check the screen knowing that the camera angles wouldn't show it either. Checking offsides from kicks using the video ref rarely helps.

a touch of arrogance, but in a good way! if there is such a thing
almost like, check the screen so 12000 people can see it again. Or had some wire fans gone by then? |
