This is a well-known marketing ploy that bookmakers undertake. It is known as the Girobuilder.



They lure their clients, some would say victims, into thinking their team are sure fire winners of a match and see the bets roll in as said clients see it as an easier option to earn money than working is. The ploy works especially well with the Evertonian and Liverpudlian nonceball fans too. For some reason that escapes me.

Bring it on...we've been underdogs before, and we will be again. No grief as Sinny says the pressure is all off us and on Saints young kids, on the biggest of stages. Suits me just fine!

We're hardly red hot favourites. My guess is that if we are favourites at all it is simply because we finished third in the league. They've given up on first and second coz we both kicked them out. So the logical next step is to declare third place the favourites.



I don't feel like I'm supporting the team favoured to win. I really have no idea who will win this match. If you were playing pants like when we last met you then that would be a different matter; I'd be confident of us taking you apart never mind beating you. But you aint playing pants anymore, we have a lot of inexperience in our side, and I'm sure the pitch at OT is twice as wide as any other pitch I've ever watched Saints play on! (Or maybe it has just seemed like that in my nightmares ...)

No we want to be the underdogs, you got to the final first by beating the "best side in superleague", so you deserve the favourites tag.

I can't help but feel a 2 score lead will have to be achieved to break the resolve of either team.
