I have it on good authority that Kevin Sinfield is a major target of the Toulouse club. We are hoping to sign Kevin for the 2012 super league season on the condition we get a super league licence. Kevin is thought to be keen to moving to the South of France as the lifestyle is very appealing to him, and as he will be 32 in 2012 he would be able to finish his career down there, earning a nice packet for someone ending their career. I for one am very hopeful we can pull it off.

Cant apply for a 2012 franchise as don't meet the criteria for a Championship club to apply.



One of the points being . Club must have either won the GF or northern rail. Or got to the final.

Can't see you lot pulling one off over either Sinny signing for you or for that matter Toulouse being in SL in 2012!

Haven't the RFL reserved the right to invite clubs to apply for a franchise even if they haven't met the 'on-field' qualifying criteria laid down?

We've already got 1 french team so you haven't got a chance really. There are more suitable teams that Toulose who would want to be in Super League.

IIRC the RFL added a clause, that basically said that clubs need to have got to the final of one of the comps to apply, unless the RFL like you, in which case they can make an exception
