Crikey ................... and we're supposed to take today seriously. Obviously i haven't gone today so can't comment on the performance. KH was never a fan of friendlies when he played for Fax (he used to duck out of most of them) but i do hope we don't limp off at the start of this campaign like we usually do. Fev have shown that there's no allowance for early-season losses especially when they themselves only lost two all last season



We've a team full of "stars" and i hope they're not going to be difficult to manage. I remember a couple of season ago - Matt Calland really rammed home to the players a thoroughly tough pre-season training work out and it backfired - they were knackered before they started.



It's only a friendly but a lacklustre start to the season will only dent the attendances from the outset.



Caution.

Rich as you say it was only a friendly and we cannot read to much into it, but this Leigh side shouldn't be took lightly this season.

Whole new team and will take time to get things near right while the Leigh team has mostly been together despite last years problems. You also have to remember that Aizue, Divo, Sam Barlow are out. I expected Fax to take time to gel due to the amount of changes both playerwise and Coaching wise- It takes time. My concern is the defence and Discipline as the same problem still seems to be there. Anyway its not how you start but how you finish and Fax just need to look at Leeds and see how they did last year. Well done Leigh and good to see you will be a major threat this year again after last years problems

With teams like Featherstone we don't have that luxury. Gotta set off like a rocket to grab that top spot.

Don't know how many new players you had out today but Leigh had 8 in the 17 that weren't here last year plus Bibey who was out injured for the majority of last season.



But as some have pointed out, it's not how you start but how you finish as we found out last season.

Dissapointed in Fax today, when Penky went off everything slowed right down, no spark from HB, but early days, so we'll just have to see how things progress

Very disappointing performance from Halifax this afternoon, the second weekend in a row where we have underperformed. The manner of the defeat today was embarrassing, a total lack of effort from all involved, some non-existent defending and clueless in attack. I realise today was only a friendly, however, mediocre performances won’t stand them in good stead for the league starting. It surprising to see the players having such little motivation at this stage of the season, as you’d expect them to be playing for their place in the squad. Credit where it’s due to Leigh, totally dominant and capitalised on all the Fax handling errors and based on today’s performance they’ll be title contenders, however, the ticketing system at the LSV is still farcical.

It took about 3 mins to get mine and that was 10 mins before ko.Maybe we should be aiming for less than a minute?

Surprised at how lacklustre 'Fax looked today. But, thinking back to the last two seasons, we've had big victories at yours, and then been 'tatered' at home by you.



So, we all know to expect a different 'Fax, next time we see you. Looking forward to the usual cracking games with you guys.

Look, I know it was a friendly and I know that we can't read anything into the result. (or can we) but, I still feel short changed. Two friendlies now where we have left feeling let down. We go, we pay our money and we should expect a better return for our money.

I'm sure it will come right, in Karl I trust but, I don't feel as confident as I did before a ball was kicked.
