Just watched the game between Batley and Featherstone and was quite shocked at what could clearly be seen in the background as the presenters were summing up at the end of the game. A man was climbing the crossbar, hanging for some time and then began swinging like a monkey for a while before jumping down.Then he started to climb the crossbar again as the conversation in the studio came to an end . I thought his behaviour totally disrespectful at the very least and he wants barring from every ground in the league for a while to show him the error of his ways.He should be easily identifiable I would think.

Might be the same tool that ran half the length of the stand to shout expletives at Tim Roby as he left the field. Some of the things being shouted was odd.

Is this normal behaviour? It depends which team you follow.

Remember my brother telling me of a story from the Charity Shield game in the Isle of Man in 86/87 vs Cas and a fan doing exactly that but in the beer marquee. Apparantly he somehow managed to shimmy up the main pole, shuffle along the cross pole and hang one handed, twenty feet above the drinkers below and enjoy his beer with the other hand while hanging there. Never spilt a drop.

That reminds me of the story of some saints fans who scaled the structure of the away end at Central Park at the final game and hung a St Helens Banner!



I think a few things do go on occasionally, just rare they get seen on the telly, wouldn't call it normal behaviour but it's fairly harmless

Hope you got a picture of your birds eye view of the try line or I'll be thoroughly disappointed in you.

That would have meant that you would be offside as well and could not get involved in that particular play without being totaly and unjustafiable penalised.

I wouldn`t have a clue who the person supported as I couldn`t be sure but I think he was in grey. My earlier post (that you replied to) asked the question IS THIS NORMAL BEHAVIOUR? I remarked on his behaviour and his behaviour was I think unacceptable for people in this day and age especially as it was on live tv for all to see.

Also why does the fact that you were stood 5 metres away from him have any bearing whatsoever to the mans behaviour?

There were enough security people milling around on the pitch at the end of the game last night I would have thought one of them might have been able to coller him .
