ASC beaten 24-16 in a close game. Town easily deserved to win as Carcassonne were poor in the first half despite opening the scores through Russel Aitkin, they didn't kick the goal and Town scores three unanswered tries and it was 18-4 at h/t.
Carcassonne pulled it back in the second half and after a disappointing first half Vinnie Anderson got into the game and had a hand in most things Carcassonne did in the last 25 minutes. Sadly for us ASC couldn't make the most of their opportunities and were their own worst enemies with the referee.
The game ended with a bit of controversy when a bit of a brawl erupted and the referee carded several players, Workingtons player jogged up behind Vinnie Anderson, said some choice words to the big man, perhaps suggesting a new barber? anyhow Vinnie took much exeption to this and promptly filled the lad in in the dug out, resulting in another all in scrap in the tunnel.
All of which we absolutley of course in no way condone or want to see
