Surely you did not mean to say that. There are a number of things he could have said or he could have said nothing. Why bring the subject up at all in an article about another player if he was merely trying to gloss over a difficult situation?

Even if he was asked the question, he did not have to answer in that way. Of course it may be the slant put on it by the journalist. Dealing with the media is a skill in itself which among other things a good coach learns and was something unfortunately Sandy never came to terms with. I hope CC proves to be better.
