Thats more of a bloody big bruise, think thats outside the veins
Clots, DVTs/PE's appear inside, blocking the flow

| i have a dvt (diagnosed last February) apparently it can be caused be vigorous exercise (lots of people get them after the gnr the quack told me) as it can tear the middle valve in your calf that stops the flow. I had never felt pain like it literally was crawling on the floor to the toilet etc because just couldn't.put any weight on it at all. That lasted a few days after i started the warfarin my calf is still swollen (probs always will be) i am still on the warfarin indefinitely & tbh it wouldn't suprise me if he never plays again,a brisk walk.in the park with my daughter & i can feel it tightening up so god only knows how he could play rugby. Saying that hope the lads ok & makes a speedy recovery.

| Quote R.B.A="R.B.A"I thought that Scott Murrell played well against Wigan and would expect him to get first shot at the 6 shirt. It is a blow but it isnt the end of the world. It will reduce our creativity but judging by our first 2 performances we are going to spend more time trying to run over people than around them anyway.'"
I'd agree, thought Murrell did ok.

| Think it depends on where the clot is - deep down in the veins in the leg or more superficial which is easier to treat

Correct, I had cerebral haematoma and its a blood clot outside veins caused by internal bleeding.

"Individual blood thinning treatment plans can also be designed, such as (a) a decrease in warfarin dosage a few days prior to athletic events that would otherwise put the person at increased risk for bleeding, (b) switching the athlete who should be on long-term blood thinners to low molecular weight heparin shots during the athletic season and interrupting the shots for competitions that pose a risk for bleeding, (c) stopping blood thinners during the season and accepting a higher risk for blood clots during that time, but restarting warfarin during the off season."'"

| Quote Mulder="Mulder"I suggest you watch the Wigan match again on Hull Kr TV.
Don't you think it's rather a long way to travel(13,000 miles) for Kristian Bell or Matty Beharrel.'"
I have watched the replay and Murrell is not a 7 - he wasn't last season either - but I will say he looks leaner and fitter.
Sarcasm doesn't become you; the young uns will be back soon and I would go with either one of them. Justin made the mistake last year of not going with the young half backs (incl Lee). If he had of done we would have had a youngster with SL experience - perhaps a 'Lomax' in the ranks.
Murrell might well step up to the mark in a more familiar position, or even Withers who looked comfortable playing alongside Belly in the second half against Wigan. I am sure Sandy will try them both out on Sunday.

Judging by the Featherstone friendly, niether of the youngsters are ready for Super League just yet. Scott Murrell despite some of the OTT flak he cops on here is a good solid proven player ay this level and has seldom let the club down in any of the positions he's been asked to fill IMO.

| Very bad news, hope Blake gets well soon and as many have already said his long/short term health must be the priority
I wonder if this is an opportunity to see how close the new relationship is with NH and AP, loaning out Ellis?

Flippin 'eck, I hope not I think the kid is a revelation and I am hoping he can prove just as effective in SL as he did in NL1...
Personally I doubt the relationship is cosy enough to be loaning players to each other, although they maybe business colleagues I think they both understand the fierce rivalry between both the clubs, fierce rivals do not share players.
