Even so I would expect that set of players to hold no fears for Rovers 17. (Not that I expect the Hull squad to be quaking at the prospect of Rovers coming across the river)

Your kick chase is important - we know Dobsons kicking is good, but if the chase is lacking then McD, Briscoe and Lineham can make good yardage on the return then we could get upfield quite easily

Undoubtedly, finding touch frequently will be important for us. Where those 3 are your strength on kick returns, they are a weakness from high kicks.

Wich Rovers turn up? If they play at near their best they will win by 20 points, but with young kids in the side a derby atmosphere with a hostile crowd any result is on the cards. I just want the result to be decided by good play & not mistakes by either side or bad refereeing. As a rovers fan I want to see a good Rovers side beat a good FC side.

I'm with you on this one Ginge, providing the forwards can get on top then i believe the backs can bring home the bacon, so to speak.
Rovers will certainly have to make sure they are up for it in a similar way that they were against Warrington, keep the unforced errors and the penalties down to a minimum and we will have the edge imo.
Having said that, this is a derby and having watched them for forty five years i still wont be betting any money on the outcome. |

as a rovers fan i will take any kind of win in a derby. it adds to the banter if it's on the back of a bad reffing decision, FORWARD!!!!  |
