I would have thought that a reasonable slice of Crockers salary would have been taken up by Cordobas, Tanseys and Broughtons salaries. I would expect enough left over to pay King off though.

Todd Byrne was paid off very early in the season also. Not sure what ramifications that would have?

Why Would Byrne been paid off have any ramifications? His salary was already accounted for on this years cap so giving him it early is neither here nor there. I suppose Hull will have missed out on the interest had the money been in their account but with rates as they are would it really make a difference?

Not read the full tit for tat mate but I assume by mentioning Cordoba and Tansey you are discussing how did we have room? Nobody mentionned that Byrne budgeted figure will have gone by March co I am sure we paid him off.



Bottom line is you both havent a clue exactly how much any player either gets paid or was paid off but carry on...

This is a stupid argument, it's a living cap that is monitored by Red Hall, no one is over the cap, and any pay offs or new signings now have to be sanctioned.

We spent nowhere near full cap last season, so there would have been plenty of room.



King was telling all and sundry that he was getting two payouts to pay up his contract - one immediately and the other at the end of the year. Neither of these will count on next year's cap.



I assume the split payment is to allow a chance for King to find another club in the intervening period, as this would eliminate the need for the second payment.

If that's aimed at me, I haven't pretended anything. I've reported two facts (our underspend on the cap and what King was saying to people) and made one assumption (clearly labelled as such) based on those facts.



I guess it's possible that King was spinning a tale, but I'm not sure what his motivation would be TBH.

How do you know for a fact you underspent on cap?
