I am (was) a massive defender of Dixon, even after the Wembley horror show but even I have to admit he needed time at a lower level to get his confidence back. He was shot in the few games he played this year and most of his diamonds had turned to rocks. I would have slapped myself for saying this at the beginning of the season but Cockayne was the far better option at FB. |

Yeah, everybody plays up a reserves comp, as it gives more players more opportunities and a bigger squad means extra depth.
More games will inevitably mean more injuries too though. |

To be fair most of them started as rubbish. Our current first choice 2 are as good as any in the league. The only winger I can think of that 'fell from grace' was Peter Fox, he went from average to international to can't catch in 3 years. Its full backs we seem to destroy at will nowadays....  |

We may be well on the way to solving our own full back problem, as Matty Marsh looks to have found a home.
He looked lost as a half but I can see a player in him the last couple of weeks. Let's see how he goes for the next month.
