| What would have been interesting is if Ganson talked his way though the decision live on air as he has been doing with the BBC. Anyway it's business as usual with the RFL/Super League as Ganson has been named as VR for the Huddersfield v Saints game next Monday.  |

The simple answer is to not leave this down to one person, why didn`t Thaler question the decision as he stood and watched what everyone else watched on the screen....so some blame should also fall on him....

GANSON MUST NOW DO THE ONLY THING HE CAN AND FALL ON HIS SWORD. EVEN A BLIND MAN WOULD OF NOT MADE THAT MISTAKE. WHEN FANS GO TO GAMES NOW BETWEEN TO EVENLY MATCHED TEAMS THEY ARE NOT THINKING ABOUT THE OPPOSITION ANYMORE BUT ABOUT WHAT SIDE OF THE BED THE REF GOT OUT OF IN THE MORNING. MANY FACTORS COULD HINGE ON THE RESULT, HAS THE REF HAD AN ARGUEMENT WITH HIS MRS FOR INSTANCE. DID HE FORGET TO PAY HIS GAS BILL. DID HE FEED THE DOG BEFORE HE LEFT FOR WORK. ITS SCARY WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT. WITH SECONDS TO GO AND ROVERS NEEDING A TRY I WOULD INSTRUCT CRAIG HALL TO STAND UNDER THE POSTS AS DOBSON DOES AN UP AND UNDER FROM THE HALF WAY LINE. IF THE VIDEO REF IS GANSON AND STILL HAS NOT VISITED SPEC SAVERS WHO KNOWS!!

Bejezzus. It's over. Done. Move on.
Nothing further will be done with Ganson, and rightfully so, it was a mistake. They happen unfortunately. Sometimes they cost more than other times, but no matter how much improving happens, human error will still always be there.
Incidentally, the day we have a perfect human-less game, it will become a complete bore. I'm an F1 fan, and would be the first to say that sport is afflicted by its own perfection at times.
