Rovers will be favourites because of league position and home, and I would prefer to go into a game as underdogs.



But both teams can play very well on their day, and we have a few players back since we last met, so I'm hoping for a wire win.

I fancy Rovers mainly because of their desire to get to Wembley and win the cup.



Vella should be back for us as well and that will be a massive lift for us.

Having played KR & Wire in last two games, KR are by far the better team.

Wire beat Wigan with 8 as did KR.

The KR game was one of the most brutal matches I've seen in a very long time. That was one reason perhaps why Wigan were off the pace v Wire and by all accounts KR a lot slower v Cas. Games like that take their toll on players.

Wire had an 8-1 pen count advantage in the 2nd half and despite that could only manage two tries. With that amount of possession and field position KR would have put 30+ past Wigan.

KR are 2nd in the table and Wire 10th. That is the difference between the teams.

IMO KR will win it in the halves. Dobson & Cook are in a lot better form than Briers or Monaghan. KR can switch Cook to the pack and Galea to 6 with Murrell an option to move position. Wire don't have those options.

To me it's a home banker. KR 32 Wire 12.

I would have thought that same desire is amongst our players too so on that basis a wire win is my fancy although I still have to buy my binoculars to be able to see this unfold from the Grimsby(south) stand

Not really. Part of our success so far this season is the teams willingness to work for each other, we have had a lot of games where they have no way near played to their potential, yet ground out a win, due to them not wanting to let each other down.



Although TS is improving you, I have still not seen the same togetherness in your side by a country mile. Not saying it won't come now you have a coach who has some balls, but it ain't there yet (not when I have seen Wire play anyway)



It's going to be a tasty one and one I would not like to predict, but one thing I do know, is Wire are going to have to put up one HELL of a fight to progress into the next round.

TBH i was impressed by your victory over Wigan at the weekend but i have been impressed all season ( Huddersfield and Sheffield apart) by Rovers willingness to play for one another and winning games whilst not at their best. Easily the tie of the round and could be decided by the rub of the green but going go with Rovers by one score in front of a packed Craven Park and a brilliant atmosphere.
