I personally feel Sandercock will get the best out of the young talent available to him and feel we will be a better side next season. I predict us to make the playoffs and play some decent rugby and upset some big teams on the way.



But with FC looking to mount a serious challenge by splashing the cash on a new look squad, are we still able to compete with them? Or are we slowly becoming a feeder team for them?

Geography means we'll exchange players with Hull more often than most clubs, but worrying about feeding them specifically is an overly narrow view.

The point is, will we be a 'buying' or 'selling' club, to use admittedly outdated language?

Basically it depends on whether our crowds/income rise, to the point at least that we can be confident of matching the ambition (sporting and financial) of the best talent we produce. Or we get benefactors with even deeper pockets, which is unlikely.
