For "smelly hole of a town" why don't you take in the air around you? The landfill, the soap factory and the sewage plant alone, all of which line the banks of the river mersey smell far worse.. Warrington is hardly a town which smells of sweet mountain air and roses. |

The only time Warrington doesn't smell of the soap factory is when the winds blowing from the south-west....hence the saying.... 'it smells like Widnes today.' |
