Strangely enough nobody has mentioned Chris Lunt who I thought was excellent. Incisive around the PTB and tackles very well for his size. Shouldn't be out for Thursday but he will be when the dual reggers are back which is a shame.



Overall a decent effort against a good side. The difference in speed and class was evident and I thought they probably could have gone up more gears if needed if it got any closer.

Think your players stood up well to SL opposition. They kept plugging away all game and were a credit to you. Will see you all next year for the league fixture.

Widnes played well imo and the scoreline did flatter Hull FC.



And despite what you thought I thought the ref was good and got the important decisions right.



Easier when you are a neutral but if you play like that for the rest of the season you will easily make the playoffs.

So was I. The North Stand is usually much fuller than that. I can only think that compulsory shopping kept many away.

Frank we will make the playoffs regardless of yesterday IMO. Home form is fairly decent even if the away capitulations continue.



Whilst I want to see is improve the league form im not going overboard because there where a lot of very average players in Widnes shirts who oddly enough had their best games of the season yesterday when a SL team comes to town.
