Well if licensing is to continue then I sencerely hope that the RL drop this 2500 average to a more realistic level or scrap it altogether.What chance of any lower league club,and I include Widnes if we don't get a licence, attracting such figures with another 3 years of nothing to play for?

Certainly Leigh and Fax are closest after Widnes to satifying all the criteria.



the 2,500 though its difficult to achieve because there is no real goal from a season, a grand final victory is the target at the start of the season but theres not much else for the fans to be motivated to turn upto games.



Widnes have done brilliantly to keep there average above 2,500 especially with the season you guys have had to date.



i have no idea how Halifax can get that average up espcially with you guys going to super league, you raise our averge with the amount of fans you bring, with you guys gone i fear our average will go down over the next few years not up.

can hope for is oldham come up and are very competitive so that they bring a few supporters with them.

Don't forget though, in all likelihood next year you will have a yorkshire team coming down, Wakefield or Castleford. They are going to help your crowds if we're not around.

I have no problem with the RFL setting a minimum attendance criteria , as long as they then start helping clubs achieve it , all clubs , but thursday night TV games dont help and niether does having a ' gimick ' club like Toulouse help either



Basically chucking a quarter of a million quid a year into the English channel in some pointless exercise to try to make the Championship ' sexy ' is a really daft idea



I'd rather they split it among the clubs and insist on a free attendance match or other marketing intiative



The fact they dont tells me they dont want the clubs to prosper , they want us to struggle

Fax got 4795 against Batley with no fans.How many freeloaders?Funny how they now get the 2500 target.

I am quite sceptical about this. They managed to eek over the 2500 target by 9 people. Coincidence? Not when I've read about people saying they were going to announce it as that before the game happened.
