| Quote Mr. Zucchini Head="Mr. Zucchini Head"It's really not. Every single player in that team can tackle, defence is 99% attitude. We looked lethargic, our line speed was poor, we allowed quick play the balls constantly. If everyone has these glaring deficiencies then how do we only concede 1 try in 2 games?
Were you at the game last night? The first try Thompson scored, in front of the Hull fans. He was never going to be stopped, you could see the determination on his face, it was as if his life depended on it. That's what we need from everyone for us to compete at the highest level, and we saw very little of it last night.'"
Congratulations on spectacularly missing the point. All 3 of their first half tries came down Hadley's side, where Ellis would have played. You can't fault Hadley's attitude, he's just not as good a player as Ellis is.
There's players in the lower leagues who have the right attitude, they've just not got the ability.
You also can't blame attitude when Rangi's throwing worldies out.

| Quote Staffs FC="Staffs FC"I agree with this point although I think it's fair to say that the top players approach every game mentally correctly whereas the players with less ability don't. That is a deficiency in the lesser players in its own right and backs up your point.'"
Yeah I'd agree with that.
Quote Staffs FC="Staffs FC"Defence in the first 20 cost us the match around the ruck and to our left side.
On the Ellis debate - when he doesn't play we have no one anywhere near his level to take his place - that's why he is our biggest loss when absent.'"
Exactly.

The first try was laziness by Hadley. Nothing to do with the ability he has and hasn't got. He was too slow to come inside and left a gaping hole for Walne to run through. This can be excused as fatigue with 10 minutes to go, after 3 minutes it is simply him not switching on and pulling his weight. The second try came from an offload. I'm not sure who was involved in the tackle, but again it's early in the game and we need to make more effort to stop it. The third can be attributed to a few things, but we made a three man tackle and somehow they were able to play the ball quick with men still on the floor and caught us not set. Again the guys in the tackle need to do more to boss that ruck and get them playing the ball on our terms. Every player in that team knows how to do all of these things, and they do it countless times every game. It's not an ability thing, it's being mentally prepared and being willing to put in that extra effort.

| Wondered how long it would be before radders got the blame ,we were beat by the magical play from Chase ,should we have handled him better ? i dont think so ,when he is in that mood he is very hard to predict and if he had not played we would have won,one man dont make a team ? it did last night. Its annoying when fans never give the opposition credit and just look for negatives in our own side. Yes some of ours were not the best but i have seen them play far worse

I would argue that being prepared and willing to put in extra effort adds to a player's overall ability.

Mini went to sleep there to let Chase through a huge gap at the start of the build up to the try

| Why didn't Radford take off Sa earlier in the second half he couldn't raise his arm to tackle. Salford saw this and they ran two tries through him, by the time he moved Whiting over it was to late.
Very frustrating last night.

| How long did whiting play, stats say he made no carries and 6 tackles. Radford did this a few times last year, rarely one sub.
This season already reminds me of last year, a good first win then a battling defeat followed by poor form, need to prove over the next few weeks we have improved from last year. No game management excuse this year.

Game management wasn't an issue whatsoever. just weak defence early on.
Whiting came on well into the second half - wasn't on long then hurt his hand.

And this is what most people mean when they question our attitude.

| You knew our fate after 5 minutes and that's really disappointing. Any away game we are faves for, we lose. Every time over the last 6 or 7 years. Nothing changes.
