Not me. He may end up being a very good player for us, and I won't judge that until he plays for us. What I question is why we felt the need to use an overseas spot on another hooker when we already have Houghton and Obst signed up and at least 2 forwards leaving the club.

if Houghton's good now, wait til there's some proper competition for the 9 jersey. I'm not saying he doesn't graft his off because he does but this could just push him that bit further and he's already improving every season imo, Mcnamara watch this space!

But seriously, houghton brings alot to the team, even when sometimes he looks tired doing 80 mins, so hopefully with heremia challenging and him only playing 40-50 mins we should see an improvement.

Heremaia will be good and he can play at 6 if needed, brings some added agression in the tackle aswell from hooker.

It's not writing the play off but the decision to bring him over and use a quota spot when we need strengthening else were within the forwards .

Maybe we've got some British forwards lined up and are following the Hudds approach of having more strength in play making areas.

But the main point I am making is about the use of an overseas spot for an 'extra' playmaker we were arguably in less need of than replacement forwards. Hudds do have plenty of players for the 1,6,7,9 positions, but how many of those take up quota/non fed room?



Hopefully I'm wrong and we do have some British options lined up, I'm just saying that if we didn't already have it in hand at the time of signing Heremaia, it was a hell of a risk IMO.

surley its about what hes playing like now?, his cv and record isnt great but im not botherd really its about what hes playing like now and given the improvements hes made as a player over the last year potentailly he could get better.

he Will be a good player for us but we have to have a good forward lined up or we could be effected in the pack, theres plenty of young english forwards out there we just have to get the right 1 or 2
