Maybe Cas weren't that good but I wont be worrying too much as I'm sure the top 4 don't think like that for a second when hammering teams like this. As I said earlier our tactics were spot on in the conditions and I think at this stage we actually look better keeping it fairly tight using, yes, the inside ball a fair bit amongst the forwards. The fact the Danny Houghton was so much better in this game meant we rolled better despite at times in the first half still labouring a bit when playing the ball. Pleasing for me was the way we were able to soak up what Cas had to offer against a fair weight of possession in the first half. Everyone did their jobs in defence to the standard required and you could see confidence grow each set.



Hard to pick out individuals outside of the hat trick heroes. I thought Lynch improved up to his high standard in his second spell and Horney is just a different player when along side DJ. Really pleased with the condition Watts was in and he was a handful. I thought Yeamo and Tom did their best with limited ball but a final mention for Joe Arundel who I would have had playing for York this weekend. Thought he showed glimpses of why he was signed - physically he looks the real deal and seeing him with a bit more ball in hand he looks a well balanced runner. If he can gain confidence from his defensive performance and hopefully in his shoulder then maybe we've a good player. Well done to PG for sticking with him but he needs to back it up against a better Hudds centre and build on this. His deft change of direction before receiving Horney's sublime short ball shows potential class let's hope the improvement continues.

I think that's a bit unfair on Arundel, i thought he had a great game and proved all the doubters wrong. I know one good game does'nt make a summer but he must of got massive confidence from that performance. Everyone forgets he is still a young kid and a bit raw, but i for one saw the potential last night and he will get better i have no doubt.

On a personal note its bloody marvelous,only home game I couldn`t make,look what happens.

At the end of the day you can only play the opposition who turn up, hull did that last night to a man.so cas were poor,to hulls credit they played the conditions much better than cas.The good thing for me was we never stopped playing once the game was won and players kept wanting to score.Lets hope this gives all the players some much needed confidence ,because without doubt we do have talented players in this squad, and I for one do believe pg is the right man for the job.Lets have a good turn out at Huddersfield next week.

Beat me too it. I thought yeaman had a very solid game, his marker defence was superb and he took the ball up well too, infact considering the left edge saw very little ball I thought Yeaman, Galea and Briscoe all had good games in their own right. You can tell that Galea is itching to develop a partnership with Yeaman but just isnt getting the service at the moment. That said, our right hand side were clinical and I was happy for Joe Arundel who's come under a lot of criticism (from me included) and Lineham just keeps getting better and better.

Gentle said he was brought off to give him a rest, so just a precaution. Sensible decision with the game won.

I thought Westerman was very good yesterday, probably one of his best games for us, and we look so dangerous when he drifts out to the right and starts creating.

It was a bit of a worry when he came off and went straight down the tunnel. Hopefully that's all it was - off because the job was done (and a good job at that).
