| Quote Standee="Standee"which is garbage, Bulls are a failing business and should be left to their own devices under the current board, I have some sympathy for the sponge finger wavers, but not a lot.'"
A rather short-sighted and sweeping statement.
Sure the Bradford board [iappear[/i to be at some fault for their current predicament - although I'm unaware of all the facts as are you.
As for the Bardford fans, they are not all "sponge finger wavers". They have supporters that have been following the club for donkey's years through good times and bad, just like all clubs.
I'm quite proud of the way the Hull FC supporters showed solidarity with their Bradford counterparts last night. It makes a refreshing change to get postive feedback rather than reading about fighting, beer throwing etc.

| Quote I.M.F="I.M.F"Really disappointed with some of the attitudes on here. The players and the fans cannot be blamed for the financial situation they are in. I am glad that we showed some compassion to their fans and thought it was one of those events that make rugby league so special. It reminds me when we played Sts in the CC semi and beat them. When we walked outside the Sts fans lined the street outside and applauded the Hull fans. Nice touch and that is what sport is all about for me.'"
couldnt agree more that is what sets leauge aside from football ,played hard on the field by tough men but off the field where all together as rugby supporters where a cottage industry if we carnt help each other knowone else will

| Quote airliebird58="airliebird58"I clapped the Bulls onto the field and I'll tell you why. It's because I remember being at the Boulevard, watching what we all thought would be Hull FC's last game, it was gutting, and I wouldn't wish it on any fans. Ok people say, They wouldn't bother about us, or so and so wouldn't clap them on, but we are Hull FC, and are to my mind are wee bit special.
Thank you and good night!'" Well said

| Quote BEN_THE_BLACK&WHITE="BEN_THE_BLACK&WHITE"Me and my mates tried singing going bust going bust going bust in the south west corner but it was met with disaproving stares and we were saying how soft the hull fans had become and that in the boulevard days bradford wouldnt of been let off so lightly.
But the most annoying thing was hull fans clapping bradfords try that tied the game at 18-18'"
Well its good to see that some of the traits of fans from the Boulevard still run strong amongst Hull FC fans.

| We have always been soft every time a clubs in trouble ,the fans have put there hands in there pockets, played amateur teams and collected for them as well.
ALways known to do the unexpected to
If our last board had there way we would be in same position ,so think on

Was a great game though, and they contributed to the atmosphere, so credit where credit is due.'"
Great post....as I said to the sponge finger waving bloke on a quad bike wearing a monkey suit, I will donate the same amount that Bradford gave us in the late 90's....

| Some pretty narrow minded, heartless morons on here. I clapped the Bulls on cos I do have sympathy for the players and fans afterall it's not their fault for the club's situation. As for this "Would they do it if it was us" attitude what's wrong with showing a bit of respect and class and yes I believe decent fans would.
As for the last try I didn't clap it but I tell you what, while it was frustrating seeing them offload it so many times it was still a cracking try and if we had scored a try like that EVERYBODY would have been wetting themselves.

| People really do need to wake up and smell the coffee i.e. get over the past and look to the future. Why on earth do some people feel the need to mention Radders and Vaikona in this thread at a time when we too had an inept board? We are moving in the right direction and last night typified what the rugby league community/family is all about. It's not about the past, given where we were not so long ago with the LLoyd regime - it's about the future of the sport and Hull FC. Last night was great it was especially good to see the younguns play and earn their stripes.
Come on u Hull....

| Quote BEN_THE_BLACK&WHITE="BEN_THE_BLACK&WHITE"The league is dog eat dog and yeah i feel for bradford and their fans because we have been in that situation ourselves but when it comes to 2 points then im sorry buy i couldnt give a toss about bradford all i care about is hull fc and when the scores are so close what kind of message does cheering a opposistion try give to our lads'"
FFS, you have changed your tune.
There is a difference between applauding genuinely top class play to cheering the opposition.
Make your mind up.
I was sat near some Leeds fans at last years CC final. Most of them stood and applauded Joel Tompkins try, as it was such a great thing to witness live.
The heady days of the Boulevard in the late 70's and early 80's, the 3d would often acknowledge good play from the opposition.

| I clapped for the Bradford fans, who have been lied too for months/years and don't deserve it. Our own fans have been lied to for decades under various boards (just look at the 'debt free' claims of recent years, or the drug scandal coverup) so I have sympathy for other clubs fans under the same situation.

| There's no wonder our fans are unpopular with a lot of folk. At times we are some of the most insular, short-sighted, and sometimes plain idiotic excuses for human beings you can have the misfortune to encounter.
