I woulden't panic about the pitch not meeting RL standards, noone at the RFL will be bright enough to measure it properly anyway!

Will these be the final dimensions after the pitch is completed or was it just a quick fix to get last night's game done? TBH I was wondering if the reduced in goal area was a ploy to minimise the effectiveness of a kick for Monaghan.

the new bit surrounding the pitch looked like permanent fully synthetic astroturf to me as it was a completely different green to the 'real' pitch. So looked permanent.

Correct, it wont be changed due to the fake grass, so dont con yourself with a "but when the work is dont they will put it back"

, perhaps you should ask the club that question yourself, they are certainly accessible and we are all concerned so when you hear from the Club let us know, because its a real worry and I'm sure we'll all await, debate and consider the reply you get!

As if the KC wasn't depressing enough already, they've now ruined the only good thing about it. A tiny in goal area is not suitable for Rugby League. If this is how it is from now on, it's a real blow.



Maybe we're just admitting we'll never sign a half decent kicker, and we're trying to reduce the effectiveness of other teams short kicking game?

I doubt Hull have had any say in the matter, the SMC will have just gone off and bought whatever pitch they felt like, maybe the astroturf areas at the end are more suitable for Squash and Polo competitions

Maybe Bruce thinks a small pitch will keep the Tiggers in the EPL

They stayed in the league last season and reached a major cup final so don't think that would be a factor in it

The ingoal areas the same as far as I can see, I sit east/south corner n didnt strike me or anyone we sit with as small. The artificial stuff at the end replaces what was a tarmac like bit with a small kerb in it. Always struck me as un safe.

some just like to call the SMC for everything, am sure FC were fully consulted with any changes.
