| Quote Wellsy13="Wellsy13"Are people kidding with Noble? The game has moved on. Look at what he did for Wigan, and what a top coach did for them one year later with the exact same squad of players. He didn't last long at Salford. Noble would not be a step forward.
What is Daniel Anderson doing these days?
I'd love it if we could buy it Darryl Powell's contract. He would be worth it. Best coach in the league by far.'"
Daniel Anderson has stated he wont be a Head Coach again..
Daryll Powell. would cost a packet, but we would also need Orr & Sheridan as support staff...
Brian Smith intimated 2 months ago, IF asked, he'd love to return Hull..

I was thinking that Powel is the best UK coach, and realised that all SL teams now have UK coaches.
I know there is Tony Smith and Webster, but (afaik) they have UK citizenship.
I don’t think that it is just a coincidence, that the standard of play in SL has dropped quite a bit, when all SL teams now have UK coaches.

| Noble would only be a stop gap for this season and if we do appoint a new one,he needs to be expierenced not a assistant like the last 5 coaches have.....counted Kear as a assistant as he was Bombers.

| I don't get this automatic hostility to assistant coaches. Wane, Cunningham and Anderson are promoted assistants whose teams have done noticeably better than Hull recently. Maguire was only an assistant in Aus before he came to Wigan. Getting the right man is more important. In fact you can argue there's more sense in gambling on an assistant which no head coaching record than for plumping for one whose recent head coaching achievements are distinctly underwhelming (I'm thinking of a certain Mr Noble here) and only provide evidence that more of the same could be expected.

Promoting an assistant works at successful clubs where structures and culture are already in place and proven. We need to rebuild from the ground up as our existing structures and culture are failing. That's a job for an experienced coach.

Spot on. Does anyone thnk that Anderson, Wane or Cunningham would do any better than Radford at Hull FC?
It was expecting too much for an inexperienced assistant coach to rebuild the culture of the club and put the systems in place. We need someone proven in the task at hand. Gentle wasn't up to it either in my opinion.
The fact people are looking to Noble or McNamara says how bad things are.

People are suggesting Noble and McNamara because they are realistic targets, there's no point suggesting we should go for Wayne Bennett when we can't afford him and he'd have no interest what so ever.
