Last 20 was a disappointing but I'll settle for having game won within the first 60. I remember agar days were we would be within 6-8 points of every team but never look like scoring but hey we was in the arm wrestle. I think if game had been closer last 20 doesn't happen. As for atmosphere I thought it was good during the warm up (long time since i've heard singing during it) and excellent during game. Yes like team died off but if big frank had scored in last minute place would of gone mental and the people moaning on here about a 42-20 victory with some fantastic rugby played after years of gash would maybe be a little bit happier, then again.

Well the boys delivered, All 17 Airlie Birds showed they can perform, even though it was our first real hit out. We continue in the right direction and we should build on that attendance for the next home game. After the Shaul try you could see the tight defensive line start to unravel a bit but lets be fair about it, Salford had just been mullered for 60 mins, so much so that I was impressed with the way they had the heart to come back.

Agree with Threepennystander.... a tighter game and its a different finish.

We may not come back with anything from Catalan, but we all know we will go close, thats a nice feeling to have. Even after 1 SL game the stay aways must be starting to think that something much much better is on show.

Salford were taking far more risks in the last 20 too because the result was already gone so they were chancing their arm with offloads and probably threw more passes in the last 20 mins than the previous 60 mins. If the game was close I doubt they would have approached the last 20 this way too.

True. Plus on dry fields in a few months I think salford will do some damage. Backline halves and couple of others will really thrive when they're all tuned in and on harder ground. Going to struggle when playing through forwards. They're 2 big men shy of being really decent imo that's all. The look of their team and it's strengths and weaknesses it was a good time to play them.

Don't think Salford will challenge the top 8 while their 2 hookers are Tommy Lee and Logan Tomkins who are ordinary at best.

Great win on Friday . Disappointed in the last 20 mins conceding when they were down to 12 men.
