| Quote meast="meast"good effort, well thought out
we might not have many but we are loyal, the point is you all wanted Radford out weeks ago, he then turned things around for a few weeks and you were all happy and content, now you all want him out again after a few bad results.
fickle or what? either you all protest/make your feelings known or you accept he has the job and support him, you can't have it both ways which it what it seems like on here.'"
This post is not at all consistent with what impression somebody could have formed from reading this board properly.

| If pearson really cared about this club or had any notion of how to run a successful RL team he would never have appointed radford in the first place, nor would he have persevered with him after an 11th placed finish in his 1st season in charge (5 places worse than his predecessor) and if he had an ounce of nouse he'd have binned him after the derby. Nothing will change and the club are in serious danger of being dragged into a relegation dogfight

I'm still clinging to the faint hope that Pearson knows deep down that he's messed up and has just been trying to save face and hope that we perform reasonably well (ie scrape into the and Radford sees his contract out without having to pay him off. And that his investment in the youth system bears fruit to save the day.
But I am now wondering if he is just a bad businessman who struck lucky with Peter Taylor at City (after several bad managerial appointments let's not forget) and bought his way to success in the lower football divisions. He can't keep playing the 'blame Hetherington, Gentle & McRae' cards that's for sure.

I seem to recall 6th place and a cup final in that period, but then the coach got sacked so I suppose you have a point.

Im sure most of us would like to go back to the Gentle era with the benefit of hindsight, but let's not forget Pearson promised Top4, international signings and trophies when he took over and has failed.

| i stopped counting how much ive spent supporting and following the club this season, season pass £255, shirt £50, around £220-30 on away tickets so far, £35 club coach travel to newcastle, £15 to sheffield, around £200-250 petrol money and match programmes, finally £500+ going to catalan, even though it was a holiday we base it around the game, usa 2017 for me now!
about a £1000 thrown down the drain believing promise after promise
no more now! after the 23 rounds i'll just be attending the home games be it bottom 4 which seems most likely, or top 8
unless radford goes the club wont get anymore money from me

Who's to say Top 4 etc wouldn't have happened if Gentle hadn't been booted out (and the rumours are pretty poor about why that was). AP has let himself be guided by others too much which is part of the reason for the failure.

Not counted properly but
£495 pass
£130 on shirts and kit
£70 train to Newcastle
£40 on Magic tickets
£200 approx on tickets
£200+ on petrol as every game is "away"
As I've said on Twitter, better things to spend my time and money on unless there's an improvement. It's more annoying because we have good times and then we have tonight.

I agree. I'd also add that in hindsight some of the Gentle/McRae signings that have been much maligned aren't any worse than what we've replaced them with. Players like Arundel, Miller, Lynch, Pitts probably weren't going to win us trophies, but they aren't any worse than what Radford's brought in, and we could have saved a load of cash not paying them off.

Other clubs have grafters who do well, yet we seem to be after big names and then lack the ability or will to get them playing well every game.
Those 4 were never world beaters but were ok. I'm sure Miller hated every minute tonight. Nearly beat us on his own
