For as critical as Pearson may be regarding Gentle and McRae, the facts are Getntle took over Agars tem and we got 6th, the following season he got 6th and a challenge cup final. Lee Radford takes over Gentle's team and we're bottom of the league, even after being Gentle's assistant, simple as. Radford is out of his depth, and if Pearson doesn't want to see that then he's a fool.

I think AP will let Radford drive through the changes he wants. Once he's done this then Radfords job security will be dependant on results I reckon.

He only said he would back Radford into next year. Wouldn't be surprised to see a change made next year.

Given AP's comments I really can't see that happening. Radford will get a chance next season. How much of a chance is down to AP.

I think you're right. I just hope Pearson has a Plan B if he does decide to make a change half a dozen matches into next season. Its no good getting rid of a coach and only then starting to look for a replacement.

AP has made his statement and it is quite clear he is happy with the way Radford is dealing with the behind the scene issues, details of which were only mentioned in broad terms and so how deep and difficult we do not know. Pearson asks for patience and support from fans. You are wasting your time to keep calling for Radfords dismissal. No one with any influence will be taking any notice. Can you not accept what your owner says, at least for a day or two. After all he pays the bills and has more to lose than you. To keep on with your pet mantra after his statement seems to indicate that you are only interested in your own point of view and not really listening to the person that matters.

Have you ever thought that maybe without this kind of complete restructure, 6th is the best we could ever do? If you're happy with 6th and humiliation in the big end of season games then crack on, but I want more than that and I think Pearson does too.

Whoever was given this task would have to do the things Radford is doing and would be getting the criticism Radford is getting. It's a massive job, at least 3-5 years IMO, we need to back what AP is trying to achieve.

I don't think anyone disputes that and maybe radford will have a good crack at it but the worry is his coaching of the 1st team appears inadequate so no matter what happens off the field and what players we have on it we're never likely to maximise what we have with radford in charge

I don't think you can do what he's doing without putting players noses out of joint as 'mates' are outed etc. Like AP said, there's still some who aren't of the right character for the culture we're trying to adopt. This might have been reflected in certain performances.
