If you think dislocated elbows and broken thumbs are a sign of being injury prone then your comprehension of the term is fundamentally impaired.

Long was a legend at Saints and if they felt he was up for it they would have kept him I am sure of it. |

Spot on. Long was just about our only option at the time. It was a gamble that hasn't worked out but one that we had little choice but to make.
You have to ask what Saints are doing with their youth setup that we aren't. |

They offered him 1 year so he wouldn't get in the way of their younger players coming through. We offered 2 because he was our only option and he took it - who wouldn't ? It hasn't worked out for us. |

I personally feel we should have just matched the one year deal maybe offered him bit more then Saints were prepared to to tempt him over. Everyone knew at the time Long was getting injury prone and starting to take longer to recover from injuries. |

I agree he isn't but if he plays to the end of the season and then next year he will have some experience behind him which will be better for us IMO.
On the flip side I'd be happy with Obst to play there for the rest of the season. |
