My group had to sit pitch side because they wouldn't open the seats up behind us. Was told by the stewards at the full end to go to the other end of the stand when we did they refused to open the seats it was ridiculous.

I like your ground - more than adequate facilities compared to, say Wakefield, and enjoyed the day out and the game, where the scoreline certainly flattered us and didn't reflect its closeness in parts. But the stewards were unlike anything I've seen at RL for many a year. I almost felt intimidated by them - ridiculous amount of them and every time we scored they seemed to raise their hackles and start posturing and moving towards us. For goodness sake, it was ridiculous. |

They'll hopefully learn from it and it won't happen next year once your back in super league. I don't think they expected the following from Hull but the club sold around 1300 tickets pre match so you would have thought Widnes was aware of this. |

Thanks for the endorsements Mrs B - I don't quite know what they were expecting if I'm honest. First time I've seen police at the Stobart for many a moon and the stewards did come into the Widnes section a couple of times to 'have words'.
