I think the whole "put it on report" system is a disgrace, it gives the officials an opportunity to bottle it like they did with Ablett yesterday. He should have gone, I don't blame Ganson, but I do blame his touchies. The touch judges will have had an unobstructed view and they failed to give Ganson clear instruction.



get rid of the "report" system and just have a match citing officer like they do in Union who can pick incidents out and deal with them after the match. Put the onus back on the ref to make the big decision.

imo it was the most biast display from a ref i have ever seen!!! he did all he could to make sure leeds stayed in the game. he clearly saw that bailey raised the knee ,otherwise he wouldnt of penalised him almost straight away!! so why put him on report ,just send him to the bin!!! as for the abblett "tackle" he shouldnt play for the rest of the season and definatly shouldnt of been allowed to carry on playin last night!! i havent seen the penalty count but i reckon it will be pretty even but most of wigans pens were in there own 10 an leeds penaltys in the opp 30 . utter disgrace if you ask me

Ablett's arm was held against his own stomach i.e. very low. Tomkins was going down at the moment of impact. Probably why the officials considered there to be doubt. As for Bailey's knee. The knee raised because he was knocked backwards in a tackle and he needed to raise it to keep his balance. Usually I am first to have a go at the dirty thug, but not on this occasion.

Bailey will have no case to answer and Ablett may get a slap on the wrist.
