When you look at the gates this weekend and see that Wire only got 9830 (despite the KR hordes ) , that Huddersfield now top of the table got 5700 , Widnes 4870 and cashed up Salford 2200 it is clear that by comparison we have been punching and continue to punch so far below our weight that it's embarrassing. Unfortunately the squad and perhaps other parts of the organisation simply do not match up to the great support and , by definition , the expectation it creates. There can't have been many more important games than this weekends semi. Even a success though will potentially raise some pretty difficult questions as to why we haven't done better in other games.

That would be the case if the 50% rule was still in force.



But it's not, every club can spend the same apart from a few extra k for internationals.

I'm not talking just about money. Under whatever regime we have we just don't seem to be able to match performance , execution and results with our ambition and clear potential which suggests that , especially bearing in mind your cap comment , we are not good enough in any department apart from possibly merchandise but even there it's the fans blind optimism that gets us buying the "jam tomorrow" shirts every year. Don't know what the answer is it's been the same for so long now.

A change of culture/education/mentality?

I would make the players watch the 2005 & 1982 Cup Finals, that would show them the desire and passion for the shirt that is needed to win. Some of the players now cant be d it has showed in the last few games. Same old story really.
