| No problem with a player like Westerman joining the club. The relationship is clearly already there, so I do understand the logic. He is a great player on his day.
However, not sure this is a good use of the salary cap of Watts personally. I'd like to see more heavy weights in the pack.
To echo everybody else as well, I'm more concerned about losing Abdul. I hope we find a way to retain him.

I don't think Radford wants Abdull, simple as that.

I agree, I don't expect Abdul to be at Hull next season, if we sign Westerman or not.

| Not impressed at all. He's been the next big thing for about 10 years but never delivers! We also need size in the pack not more second rowers

Yeah, he called Radford a bully, and said he has his favourites. He was then dropped for Widnes

I don't think we do (Particularly when we have all our main players), Taylor, Bowden, Masi, Mini, Green and Paea are all big blokes. Making yards isn't a problem, turning territory into points is what we need to do. I'm not saying that westy will do the, but it will give us another attacking weapon in the backrow and with us losing Mini and possible Manu and with it becoming harder to recruit from the NRL I think it is a smart move.
If Abdul moves on (Which he will, if he has said those things to Radford) then we are a bit short in the backrow.
I think the main things to take out of this, is Pearson, Ellis and Radders want him, he is keen to come back (think he knows he made a mistake leaving Hull).
Was decent for Hull in his time here, had a couple of good seasons and played well for Warrington.
If we can get him for free and on a decent salary I think it will be a good signing.

| If we can get him on the pitch immediately I'd snap him up, but not on a long term contract. 1.5 year deal with a view to sign him up longer term if he can prove himself. And on a strict contract where if he puts his foot out of line he gets released. Just don't want to run the risk of him getting up to no good off the field with Watts and spending most of their time drinking together.

| 3 clubs have paid circa 400k for him in total, so coaches obviously see something in him. Id see him as a great long term replacement for mini (Who I wish would keep going forever, sensational player).

| Our starting back rowers are a bit injury prone now. Our youngsters and Washy are alright be we definitely look weaker when Hadley, Mini or Manu are out. Having Westerman fills the squad out nicely.
Pearson and Ellis aren't daft. They will have him on a deal that favours the club.
If anyone thinks we should sign a better forward for this season then I challenge them to name one.

I'm intrigued to know why he's leaving Toronto months after they spent a not insignificant £140k...
