You have to take into account lots of factors. Filed accounts and credit ratings are independent evidence, both are unappealing and with going concern qualifications and significant risk rating suggest, er, risk. Layer on concerns on pass renewals, lost sponsorship and selling two major players, only an idiot would be unconcerned. Fortunately supporters appear to be renewing in positive territory and piling into the shirts. Happy days.

The Carney issue is obviously sensitive but if the coach and owner want him the players should be professional and accept it. Signing carney would certainly shift a good few passes but didn't sound likely to me.

Tbf the Reardon debacle is hardly a good benchmark. The range of possibility on Carney could run all the way from blagging interest to distract from banking the fee for Westerman but ultimately not reinvesting it, through to him being signed but us now sorting the detail. No idea what's going on.

About fans not renewing potentially causing big financial issues at the club?

Very good player, the fact he'll still be 17 when the season starts speaks volumes. That said, I wouldn't expect to see him too often in 2016, Houghton's injury record is second to none and Washy is his help. He'll play in the 23's and is certainly being fast tracked.
