| Quote Locko's Luck="Locko's Luck"I agree; for me it's the 'structure' or lack of that's exacerbating the whole situation. I.e. Gleeson defending infield with Obst outside of him. It's not as if he can't defend, he plays at hooker ffs. There's a reason why Briscoe doesn't get caught out often in defence = Yeaman: They're a settled pair and work as such. If teams are throwing the ball wide at every occasion then the centre needs to be out wide to assist "his" winger.'"
I agree with that and said the same all season because Long defends there when he's fit as well. I can't get my head round it.

Throw in Manu and you get a better idea why there's such a good understanding between the three of them
On the other side of the field you then have the most disrupted flank in Super league: Whiting/Sharp/Lyne, Turner/Whiting/Gleeson, Long/Obst, Westerman/Tickle who moves to prop on occasions.

| The ball hardly ever went out to Gleeson, Yeaman never saw much either. Our ball movement was poor today, be glad to get Longy back next week.

| Yeaman could do with passing more to his winger.

| Quote Sebasteeno="Sebasteeno"What you on about?
I said the backs generally were poor but put some of that down to us having only one half back.
Ive posted about Gleeson as whilst Sharp was poor again Gleeson wasnt much btter and was partly to blame for Sharps poor showing.
As for Fitz i think hes actually a weak lin in the team. He should go at the end of the season imo as hes past his best now and Agars reliance on him in attack stifles the teams creativity.'"
Been saying that about fitz for a long time. Plus he's overplayed and it gets worse the longer the game goes on

Great point LL, what makes me scratch my head is that it's been a weakness all season and we don't seem to be putting it right. Even if it is down to coaching (or lack of), surely Sharp/Gleeson/Tickle should be wise to it.

Spot on post...! Yeaman grafts 2 get back into a decent defensive position, slides well and helps out Briscoe.! On the opposite side Gleeson had a very poor game today leaving Sharpe high and dry on 2 occasions..!
The knock he took on early on didn't help him, however he did look on occasions not 100% match fit....!
Add to that Obst having a poor defensive game it just re-iterated how weak we were on that side, with brown and Brough playing really well especially in the kicking department they punished us...! Maybe if one of them played well we might have just got away with it...!

| Quote number 6="number 6"should've passed to sharp in the early part of the game when we had a 2 on 1, sharp would have scored easilto put us up 10/12-4'"
Sharp would have scored easily if, and that's a big IF he had caught the ball. That element of doubt was probably why Gleeson didn't even bother attempting the pass imo.
